Dr. Woolard and elementary education majors and physical education majors under her guidance volunteer as teaching assistants in physical education at schools in the Harnett County School System. (September 1994-2004)
Established a continuing collaboration for fieldwork
experiences with Community Living Skills (a life skills workshop for the
mentally disabled), Dunn, NC. Dr. Woolard and physical education majors and
other students under her guidance conducted an on-site physical activity and
recreation program for physically and mentally disabled adults. (January
1995 to May 1998 when Community Living Skills was no longer funded in
Harnett County).
Sworn in and served as a Guardian ad Litem for the First
Judicial District of North Carolina. A Guardian ad Litem is court-appointed
child advocate empowered to investigate cases of suspected child abuse and
make recommendations to the court based upon what is best for the child.

Collaborated with Ruby Price and other teachers and coaches
of Bertie High School on maximizing practice time, motor-engagement time,
and time-on task in physical education and fast pitch softball. (March 1997)
Collaborated with Eddie-Jo St. Pierre of Currituck High
School. Taught ninth grade physical education at Currituck High School for
one week during the Spring Break and helped with curriculum revision for the
1996-1997 school year. (March 1996)
